Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It features our most anticipate and desired books. This week, my pick is The Carrier Of The Mark by Leigh Fallon.

Summary: "A move to Ireland is about to introduce Megan to her destiny, her real destiny, can she embrace it and will she survive it?

A tragedy in Megan’s past set her on a predetermined course. A chain of events has been set in motion that brings Megan to Kinsale, a small town in the south of Ireland where her destiny awaits her. Her life starts to fall into place as she makes new friends and settles into her new school. However, the reclusive and distant Adam DeRĂs calls to her body and soul.

She finds herself increasingly drawn to Adam and his strange family. Adam knows a secret from her past and he and his family hold the key to her future. A future that binds her to Adam and his world, a world of power, mystery and ancient orders. A world that unbeknownst to her, she very much belongs in."

Why I Can't Wait: Doesn't it sound amazing? I've heard a lot of fantastic things about this book from Inkpop, especially about the romance. And you know me, I love a good romantic story with a paranormal twist! Plus, I'm absolutely in love with the cover. Wow, Leigh was indeed blessed by the cover gods.

Release Date: September 13th 2011 by HarperTeen

  4. That is a great cover I will admit ^_^. Its on my to-consider list though cause the synopsis is being very vague and I got no idea what this book is about. I'm also not big on romance being the center I prefer in the background xD.

  5. Nice! I'm one if the few that had the pleasure to read the whole book before it was snapped up by HC and whipped off inkpop, only leaving a tantalising few chapters to whet the appetite! I assure you, you are in for a real treat! An amazing story, fantastic characters and total page turner. I can't wait for my copy to be delivered after the release in September!

  6. Awesome cover! One question, though: What's with all the dress covers? It seems like every book has either a girl lounging in a fabulous gown, or running in a fabulous gown, or her fabulous gown is turning into something else like rose petals or ink.
