Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It showcases each blogger's most anticipated books. This week, my pick is The Language of Impossible Dreams by Sarah Ockler.

Summary: "Once upon a time, Hudson knew exactly what her future looked like. Then a betrayal changed her life, and knocked her dreams to the ground. Now she’s a girl who doesn’t believe in second chances... a girl who stays under the radar by baking cupcakes at her mom’s diner and obsessing over what might have been.

So when things start looking up and she has another shot at her dreams, Hudson is equal parts hopeful and terrified. Of course, this is also the moment a cute, sweet guy walks into her life...and starts serving up some seriously mixed signals. She’s got a lot on her plate, and for a girl who’s been burned before, risking it all is easier said than done.

It’s time for Hudson to ask herself what she really wants, and how much she’s willing to sacrifice to get it. Because in a place where opportunities are fleeting, she knows this chance may very well be her last..."

Why I Can't Wait: Ever since I read Twenty Boy Summer, I have been a huge fan of Sarah Ockler. She knows how to write amazing contemporary novels, with real meaning, raw emotions, and just the perfect amount of romance. The Language of Impossible Dreams sounds like one of those books that will have your heart melting well before the last page. The cover isn't my favorite, but it's still cute. I love the little coffee hearts. Yay, can't wait!

Expected publication: August 7th 2012 by Simon Pulse

  1. Oh my goodness. I LOVE that cover. The story sounds good but I would buy this one based on the cover art alone, haha. I'll have to add this to my list :)

  11. Ever since Twenty Boy Summer I became a fan of Sarah's too ^_^ I'm so happy to hear she's got another book out. I still need to get my hands on Fixing Delilah. And I agree the cover isn't the best, I think the spill cup would have looked better at a different angle/perspective.
