Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine.  It showcases each blogger's most anticipated books.  This week, my pick is Bitterblue (The Seven Kingdoms #3) by Kristin Cashore.

Summary:  "Book 3, tentatively titled Bitterblue and currently in progress, is a companion book to both Graceling and Fire and takes place in the seven kingdoms eight years after Graceling. Bitterblue will tie all three books together in some way. Bitterblue is the sixteen-year-old protagonist, and Katsa, Po, Giddon, Helda, and other characters from Graceling will be part of the fabric of the book. Plenty of fighting still to come!"

Why I Can't Wait:  I have been waiting for this book for (after this year ends) years!  I absolutely love Graceling and Fire, but more importantly, Po.  Oh my gosh, when it comes to this book, there is nothing I won't do to get my hands on it.  Out of everything, and I mean everything, coming out next year, THIS is my most anticipated read.  I really thought Bitterblue was coming out this year and was truly devastated when it did not.  Seriously, if you follow me on Twitter, I'm sure you remember my rant about when the freaking fireflies Bitterblue would be released.  I really could go on and on about how much I want this book, but I'm sure you'd rather I end this post now...

PO, PO, PO!!!  *dies*

Expected Publication : May 1st 2012 by Dial

  1. I really need to get on board & read these books. I have the first one.

  2. Great pick! I can't wait to read this one either!

  3. I am in the midst of reading Graceling right now and I too am excited for Bitterblue but mostly because of the UK cover xD. I have to say I love finding out about the different Graces and Katsa's is pretty wicked.

    My WoW

  4. I absolutely loved Kristin Cashore's world. She is a fantastic author and has such a creative imagination.

  5. I can't wait to read more about Katsa and Po! Bitterblue is definitely a book I'll be getting next year :D

  6. I might have to look into starting this series. Sounds pretty good! Thanks for the review!

  7. OOH I just have to read this series since you fan girl over it!! =D

  8. I have the first two books and I definitely plan to start them sometime soon! Maybe I will wait until closer to May so I can read them all together! I hope it's worth the years you've waited! :D

  9. I agree that this cover is lovely. I love old keys so it is appealing to me.

One of my fellow Rhemalda authors, Amber Argyle (Author of WITCH SONG) raves about Cashore's books. I guess this is the time I do it. I will have to get all of them.

Thanks for sharing your waiting on Wednesday cover. Now I am waiting on it also.

I love, love, love comments, and therefore, love you! Thanks for dropping by!
