Top Ten Books I'd Recommend As Good Beach Reads
I'M BACK, Y'ALL! Sorry for my hiatus, but I have spent the last week and a half in Seattle and Atlanta. How was it? AWESOME! And now I'm back...until ALA in about 2 weeks. :-)
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the fabulous girls at The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is the Top Ten Books I'd Recommend As Good Beach Reads. Oh, I've got some good ones.
Summer lovin, had me a blaaaaast.
MY LIFE NEXT DOOR: You guys, I read this in a day and a half. It has the perfect amount of summer romance that'll make you go OOOOOOOO!
UNBREAK MY HEART: HUGE Melissa Walker fan here. I mean, the lady loves Friday Night Lights. How can someone love FNL and not be made of win? My good friend Ginger at GReads insisted I bump this up my TBR pile. Y'all, I read this on the plane and finished it sitting by the lake. It really is an impeccable beach read.
SUCH A RUSH: Oh. My. GAWD. Sexy, sexy summer read. I'd recommend this for older teens. Seriously, you need to get this book as soon as it releases. You cannot go to the beach without this steamy book. Fair warning, you may need to cool yourself off in the water every so often. RAWR!
SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS: Whenever I need a fun, sexy, and funny book, I go to SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS. You can easily finish it in one day, but it'll only take you a couple pages to fall in love with the characters. To me, beach read = summer and romance, and this book has both.
ENDLESS SUMMER: This book is a twofer- you get THE BOYS NEXT DOOR and it's sequel all in one. Beach read, lake read, pool read, whatever...if you haven't read this book yet, you need to.
SAVING JUNE: This isn't a light read, but it is a fabulous one. It's beautiful and involves a fabulous road trip.
GRAFFITI MOON: For crying out loud, this book has poetry in it! It's full of wit and win. You definitely will never look at graffiti the same way again.
52 REASONS TO HATE MY FATHER: How much fun is this book? Loads, and really, isn't summer all about fun? Believe me, you'll want to get your hands on this book as soon as possible. Even the ever so picky Karen from For What It's Worth enjoyed it. What does that tell you?
ALONG FOR THE RIDE: Can you really say "beach read" and not mention a Sarah Dessen novel? I thought not. ALONG FOR THE RIDE is my favorite SD book and definitely a great beach read. Look at the cover! It screams beach read.
SHADOW AND BONE: Because every summer needs a little fantasy in it, right? I tore through this book like a knife cutting butter, and I'm sure you will too.
Summer lovin', happened so faaaast.
That's all folks! What books would you guys recommend as a good beach read?
