I know what you're thinking. Lena, is that really all you did this week? Well, I had posts planned and thought I'd have time to do it over the Thanksgiving weekend, but then something happened. Something amazing and surprising happened to me that literally took every minute of my time and breath away.
I got engaged, y'all! Want the story? Well, you're going to get it. On Wednesday night, my
The restaurant consists of an outdoor carnival area where you can take a train tour to see their Shark Exhibit or ride on the Ferris Wheel or do many other things. Originally, I wanted to go on the Shark Exhibit tour as well as ride the Ferris Wheel, however, Chris said he had reservations at 7:30, and we can't be late (another clue since we're almost always late). Thus, my shark and spinning wheels dream was over.
After dinner, Chris insisted on ordering dessert (the last and final obvious clue as I'm the one with the sweet tooth in our relationship). During dessert, a scuba diver with a sign jumped into the tank and started heading in our direction. I thought she was there to clean the tanks and entertain the children, but it turns out she and Chris had other plans. She swam over to where our table, waved to me and flipped over a sign that said "Lena, will you marry me?". My jaw dropped. I pretty much sat there in a state of shock for about a minute or two before I turned over to Chris, who then got down on one knee and proposed.
Then I cried.
Ever since then, we've been running all over Houston celebrating the good news with our family and friends. It's been exciting, entertaining, and a wee bit stressful (Moms! They're crazy!), but also completely filled with love. I couldn't ask for a better fiance, family, or friends. Yay!!!
Any who, that's it for me! Feel free to leave links to your mailbox posts below, and I'll do my best to drop by and say hello. Until next time kiddies, this is Lena signing off.
