Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. It features each blogger's most anticipated books. This week my pick is POINTE by Brandy Colbert.

"Theo is better now.

She's eating again, dating guys who are almost appropriate, and well on her way to becoming an elite ballet dancer. But when her oldest friend, Donovan, returns home after spending four long years with his kidnapper, Theo starts reliving memories about his abduction—and his abductor.

Donovan isn't talking about what happened, and even though Theo knows she didn't do anything wrong, telling the truth would put everything she's been living for at risk. But keeping quiet might be worse."

Why I Can't Wait: I love ballet books. The beauty, the grace, the pressure...I love it all (as long as it's not me doing it). Now, clearly this book isn't about just ballet. It's about a childhood friend returning home after his abduction. Are you intrigued yet? You should be. I want to know what happened these past four years and what role Theo played in all of this.

Why isn't it April yet? BLAH!

Expected publication: April 10th 2014 by Penguin
